Denver defeats Miami Heat 4-1 in the Finals
The Denver Nuggets have won the 2023-24 NBA Championship after defeating the Miami Heat 4-1 in the Finals. The Nuggets won Game 5 of the series 108-97 on their home court to secure the title.
Nikola Jokic led the way for the Nuggets in the series, averaging 27.4 points, 13.4 rebounds, and 7.4 assists per game. Jamal Murray also played a key role for Denver, averaging 21.2 points and 4.8 assists per game.
The Heat were led by Jimmy Butler, who averaged 25.0 points, 7.8 rebounds, and 5.8 assists per game in the series. Bam Adebayo also played well for Miami, averaging 19.4 points and 10.8 rebounds per game.
The Nuggets' victory is their first NBA championship in franchise history. They are the first team to win the NBA championship after trailing 3-1 in the Finals since the 2016 Cleveland Cavaliers.
